So we're at round two with this blog. Oh well, we'll get it right...maybe.

We're here! We have a house! We have a van (rented)! Yeah!!!!!!

We live near the base commander, so we have to keep up our appearances...Thank God for maids and gardeners! Yes, we have both. Ilhan, the gardener, stole us from his competition. We did not know any better, so we said O.K. (we were told they had divided up the housing). Fatma is the Maid/nanny/cook. K only has her for 1.5 days/wk. We took advantage of it and went to lunch on Thursday...Sweet!

Max is playing soccer, and he is blazing fast. I believe he can out-run Marin already (thank God for those Cloud genes). I only pray I don't become one of those fathers who lives through his sons success. Marin has been in a play already...Yes! Sophie is either going to play soccer or do gymnastics. We visited the stables the other day. It's only $55/month for the family for unlimited riding. You do need to work some around the stables...but what a great opportunity!

We're going to The Fairy chimneys (sp?) up north this weekend with a group from the school. This should be a blast. It's 4 hours so it will be long...but we'll be in the country...Yeah!

My job is going well. The dynamics of a small school vs. the large school I came from is interesting. We're a week in and we may shut down one of my classes, and I'll start another...that would never happen in PG.

The heat seems to have broken. It's only 90 today (very pleasant).

We'll try to get pictures up as soon as we figure out how to do it. I'm sure K will add some female softness to this rigid (factful) start I've created.
